Maven Makers is Savannah’s makerspace, a beautiful and spacious workshop full of tools, materials and ideas to inspire your next creative project. Take a class and kick your skills up to the next level. Learn how to use new tools—from bandsaws and soldering irons to 3d printers. And collaborate with like-minded makers who can give you insights and advice on your projects. You’ll progress from Novice to Maven in no time.
This safety training includes
. 2 visits to our shop to attend Classes One and Two below
. Unused visits expire after 12 months
Class One: Cutting Board
Learn how to use a planer, jointer, table saw and make a cutting board! Instructor is Ty Donaldson.
Class Two: Push Stick
Learn how to use a bandsaw, drill press, oscillating spindle sander, router table, and make a push stick for the table saw in the process. Instructor is Ty Donaldson.
*Taking these training classes will open access to all other classes in the shop except for woodturning (prerequisite for turning classes is Intro to Woodturning and Safety Training Class), for both members and non-members, as well as access to the shop during hours of operation for personal projects.
